Move is to show appreciation for the country and those who have served it

Steak and Shake recently announced it will, at all 397 locations, including the Cookeville location, fly the “the tallest and biggest American flag that local governments will allow.”

“Steak ‘n Shake proudly supports American values and traditions,” According to the company.

The hugely patriotic move to add the massive stars and stripes is to show appreciation for the country and those who have served it, according to the company.

This move comes on the heels of a massive misfire by Steak and Shake competitor Cracker Barrel (CB) when CB changed its logo and décor before backtracking soon after. Steak and Shake called CB out for its woke misgivings on a billboard in Nashville.

Many brands have recently launched patriotic campaigns, hoping to tap into the wave of patriotism that has swept the nation and connect with customers. S&S was founded in Illinois, on Route 66, in 1934.
