Company’s unique wellness plan uses Clydesdales to help support emotional and mental well-being

Cantadora Wellness (CW) recently hosted a grand opening celebration. The Cookeville–Putnam County Chamber of Commerce (Chamber) was on hand for the event.

“Today, we celebrated the grand opening of Cantadora Wellness! Owned by licensed professional counselor Catherine Virden, their mission is to nurture your physical, emotional and mental well-being, with a focus on healing trauma stored in the body,” according to the Chamber.

A Somatic approach – Cantadora Wellness recently held a ribbon cutting.

The company’s unique wellness plan uses Clydesdales to help support emotional and mental well-being. A “Somatic Session” as it is known is a holistic therapeutic approach emphasizing the “mind-body” connection and is based on a premise that trauma and stress can become trapped in the body.

The goal is to release that stored tension.

“CW helps address strained relationships with food, intimacy and unexplained health issues by guiding you toward healing through listening to your body, with their Psychotherapy with Equine Interactions program supporting this journey,” according to the Chamber.
