Royal furniture began in Memphis in 1946 with a single store
Royal Furniture (RF) has opened its location in Cookeville. The dealership store has taken up shop in the old Badcock Furniture Store building location at 1580 Interstate Drive in Cookeville. RF has 16 locations across Tennessee, Mississippi and Alabama and offers home furniture including:
- bedroom
- living room
- dining room
- kid’s room
- office
- appliances
- electronics
RF began in Memphis in 1946 with a single store. Since, it has expanded with 12 locations including a warehouse that serves 6 states.
“Royal Furniture was founded on the tenet of providing exceptional value to its customers. Although Royal has expanded its product lines since its inception to include designer looks and name brand products, the company still strives to provide the same value to its customer as it did in 1946,” according to the company.
Long time tenant Badcock Home Furnishing recently shuttered all its stores after more than 100 years in business. It was founded in Mulberry Florida in 1904. Starting as a consignment store, Badcock evolved into a dealer operation before closing all 300 of its locations last year.
