The celebration begins at 4 p.m. Jan. 30

The Boardroom Steakhouse has been “quietly” open since October. And now, the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce (Chamber) is set to hold an official ribbon cutting for the restaurant at 102 S. Main Street in Gainesboro.

“… It’s finally time to cut the ribbon and celebrate an amazing addition to our downtown square,” according to the Chamber.

The celebration begins at 4 p.m. Jan. 30.

“Come congratulate (Owners) Pete and Cassie (Kessler) on another homerun next Friday,” according to the Chamber.

The Kesslers moved to Jackson County at the end of 2019 to open The Stolen Coin Oyster Bar and Bistro which opened in July 2020. According to a statement by the company, the “Kesslers felt the need to fill the void left behind by the beloved Bull and Thistle (BT).”

BT closed in Dec. 22.

Local Marc Stengel and his development company Wasioto Restoration Co. (WRC) who has “built, restored and operated some of the most beautiful and iconic properties” purchased the property late last year.

“While we are sad to close our doors, we are handing the keys to a friend and neighbor who genuinely values Gainesboro and will bring so many wonderful things to our town,” according to the release.”
