Eleven schools participate in both the Utrust Appreciation Program and the Utrust Culture Initiative

Putnam County Schools have been awarded $75,450 in mini-grants from Utrust, to support employee recognition and appreciation initiatives. These funds will be used to celebrate the dedication and contributions of school employees across the district.

Angie Knight, HR Director for Putnam County Schools, secured a major portion of the funding — $43,600— to host a district-wide year-end appreciation event and to sustain employee recognition programs throughout the year.

“We love our employees in Putnam County—they are invaluable to our success. We embrace every opportunity to show them how much we appreciate what they do. This grant enables us to celebrate them in a tangible way,” said Knight.

Additionally, individual schools participating in the Utrust Appreciation Program, designed to engage students in recognizing and appreciating school staff members, received $500 each—bringing in $8,250 for the district.

“We welcome the opportunity to be a part of Putnam County’s efforts to appreciate every school employee. By involving students in expressing gratitude, they are teaching one of life’s most important lessons—appreciation. Our vision is for the entire school community – parents, staff, students and community organizations – to be intentional about expressing appreciation to one another,” said Dr. Dan Tollett, Utrust Administrator

Eleven schools participate in both the Utrust Appreciation Program and the Utrust Culture Initiative that expands involvement to include parents and community organizations to create a culture where everyone appreciates and everyone is appreciated. Those schools received an additional $23,600 in culture grants, underscoring the district’s commitment to fostering a culture of appreciation.
