Business applications in the U.S. have reached record highs
In October, 53 businesses registered a license in Putnam County: 34 manufacturing and 19 retail. That number is down slightly from the previous month, but Business formation and business expansion are on the rise in the Upper Cumberland and Putnam County.
Nationally, the outlook for November remains strong, according to reports. The suggestion is for a “dynamic and resilient” environment that lends itself to entrepreneurial success, with one key factor being a strong confidence and strategic adaptation to new technologies and market demands.
Business applications in the U.S. have reached record highs recently. According to sources, that trend has continued in 2025, with August data showing over $473,000 in total applications and business formations increasing.
The outlook shows that the trend will continue in October, and those numbers will be released Nov. 5.
