Jon and Danielle Powers are longtime residents of the area
The Upper Cumberland Business Journal (UCBJ) recently reported on the opening of a new Domino’s Pizza at 135 Fast Lane in Baxter. The restaurant opened last week to community fanfare.
After all, who doesn’t love a new pizza joint—especially one with the long-standing history of Domino’s? The Cookeville–Putnam County Chamber of Commerce says it shares the community’s excitement and is proud to welcome the restaurant and its owners, who are no strangers to the Upper Cumberland business scene.
“We’re excited to welcome Domino’s to Baxter! Jon Powers, along with his wife Danielle, proudly owns and operates the Domino’s in Baxter,” the Chamber said.
The duo are longtime area residents and recently opened a Domino’s location in Monterey as well. Their journey began in 2002 with the opening of their very first store.
“Since then, their footprint has grown to 11 Domino’s locations across the Upper Cumberland region,” according to the Chamber.
Jon originally from Kingsport, has earned recognition throughout the region.
“… (Jon) has consistently been recognized for excellence, earning the prestigious International Franchise Association’s Gold Franny Award four times in the last five years,” according to the Chamber.
The Gold Franny Award is the highest honor bestowed upon a Domino’s franchisee, awarded to only the top 2% nationwide.
“Team Powers’ accolades don’t stop there. They’ve celebrated a National General Manager of the Year and, most recently, Brittany Tramont was named Central Region Supervisor of the Year, making her one of the top three supervisors in the entire country,” according to the Chamber.
Behind the success is a focused philosophy. According to Powers, Domino’s success comes down to three simple priorities.
“The three most important parts of Domino’s and our success,” says Powers, “the Team, the Team and the Team.” The Powers family is excited to be part of the Baxter community and has felt incredibly welcomed. “We’re truly grateful for the warm reception,” they shared. At Domino’s, they take pride in serving delicious, high-quality food, prepared and delivered by professionals who care. “Our team understands that everything we do is about the communities we serve,” says Jon.
“Whether it’s a birthday, game night, lunch or dinner, they hope to be your family’s go-to for every special moment,” according to the Chamber.
