New CAO/CFO named at Cumberland River Hospital

CELINA – Cookeville Regional Health System has named Patricia Strong the new chief administrative officer/chief financial officer at Cumberland River Hospital in Celina.

Since mid-2004, Strong has served as CFO where she has managed the hospital’s finances and was also in charge of leading the hospital in implementing electronic medical records and achieving meaningful use. For the past two months, Strong has served as the hospital’s interim CAO in addition to her CFO responsibilities.

“Patricia has done an excellent job as interim CAO,” Paul Korth, CEO of Cookeville Regional Medical Center, the flagship hospital of CRHS, said. “Patricia has been a part of the Cumberland River Hospital team for 20 years, and we have no doubt she will lead the hospital in the right direction for success.”

Strong began her career at Cumberland River Hospital in September 1995, serving as the director of patient financial services. She has seen the hospital and health care evolve since her arrival, and is committed to their goal of providing the best possible patient care.

“I am honored to be named CAO of Cumberland River Hospital,” Strong said. “I have personally seen this hospital serve the Clay County community for several years, and with that we have seen growth and change. Health care continues to face both national and state level changes, but we will continue to provide the highest possible level of health care that we can for our community. I appreciate Cookeville Regional’s confidence in me as I move forward in this role.”

Cumberland River Hospital provides emergency and acute care services along with home health care in 10 counties.  In addition, Cumberland River provides geriatric psychiatric care for older adults, houses a skilled nursing program to facilitate skilled rehabilitation care following illness or injury and provides outpatient services including diagnostic medical imaging (X-ray, computerized tomography, ultrasound), diagnostic laboratory services, respiratory care, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy.

CRHS is a network of health care providers from throughout the Upper Cumberland. It includes Cookeville Regional Medical Center; Cumberland River Hospital; Cookeville Regional Medical Group, a multispecialty physician group; The Foundation at CRMC, a charitable organization; and a number of primary care and specialty clinics in the Upper Cumberland region.
