This will be the fifth location for the chain in Putnam County

There is a new McDonalds on Washington Avenue in Cookeville. The 3,693-square-foot location, owned and operated by Funderburk Family McDonald’s, recently held a ribbon cutting to celebrate the opening .

The Cookeville-Putnam County Chamber of Commerce (Chamber) was on hand for the event.

“This project marks another great investment in our community, bringing new opportunities for jobs, dining and continued economic growth. Congratulations to the entire Funderburk team,” according to the Chamber.

Groundbreaking – McDonalds broke ground on its fifth location in Putnam County.

The restaurant will be built by Hudson Company and is expected to open in 2025.

“Congratulations to the Funderburk’s on the groundbreaking for the new “McDonald’s” at 12th and North Washington Ave. in Cookeville. This will be the fifth location for the chain in Putnam County. They plan to be open around the first of December,” according to Putnam County Mayor Randy Porter.
