BAXTER – Anatolia Granite and Marble (AGM), a Turkish company, will soon open a production facility in Baxter. The company plans to be in production by May 1.

AGM is making a $3 million capital investment in the project and plans to hire 20-25 people, according to Baxter Mayor John Martin.

“One of Anatolia’s largest customers is Fixture World,” said Martin. “Fixture World is going to build the building. It’s going to be on Fixture World’s property on Ward Mill Road, and they will enter into a long-term lease on the building with Fixture World.”

They are hoping to have the 12,000-square-foot facility up by late April.

AGM has invested $1 million in equipment that has been ordered from Italy. The facility will cut granite and marble and will also have the capability to cut steel.

AGM has other existing facilities in the U.S. The closest is the Anatolia Granite and Marble Showroom located at 8039 Kingston Pike in Knoxville.
