COOKEVILLE – Broast, a hometown commercial coffee roasting company and coffee shop located in Cookeville, is under new ownership. Justin and Hannah Davis, of Cookeville, acquired the company from original owner, Zach Buckner, and they look forward to continuing to grow the business.
“We are very excited to begin this journey in the coffee roasting business. Our family loves coffee and people and combining the two passions is just really an amazing thing,” said Justin Davis. “Our goal is to continue serving the great roast that is currently in place, providing great customer service, while growing the business and staying on the cutting edge of roasting.”
Broast began roasting in 2014 and then moved to their location on Spring Street in February 2018 to open a storefront. In January 2019, Broast released their espresso line. All of their coffees are fair trade certified, organic and roasted locally to serve the freshest coffee available. They operate as a wholesale business, supplying coffee to local and regional restaurants, cafes, corporations and small businesses. Broast is located on the corner of West Spring Street and South Walnut Avenue in Cookeville.
“It has been an absolute pleasure and honor to get to serve Broast customers for the last four years,” said Buckner. “No business is successful without unbelievable support from the community and customers who spread the word. I also want to thank each Broast team member for giving their all and for making Broast a place that customers love to come.”
“My family and I will forever be grateful for the opportunity we had to build this business and to hand it over to such capable and driven folks,” added Buckner. “Justin and Hannah will surely take Broast to the next level, and I look very forward to seeing the company thrive under their leadership.”
