Overton County leader joins elite cohort shaping job and investment tools across the state
(UCBJ) – The Livingston/Overton County Chamber of Commerce (Chamber) has highlighted a major leadership recognition tied to a new statewide economic development initiative.
“The (Chamber) is proud to share that President & CEO Zach Stephens has been named a Founding Fellow of the inaugural Porter Development Initiative Fellows Academy,” according to a release.
The appointment places Overton County chamber leadership within discussions shaping how Tennessee communities position themselves for future business recruitment and investment, according to the release. The Academy equips leaders with tools for cluster-based economic development and long-term competitiveness while bringing together senior Tennessee leaders for executive training in Microeconomic Competitiveness and Regional Strategy…”
It also provides “a seat at the table where regional economic strategy is being shaped, and a direct line to the tools and partnerships that help us compete for jobs, investment and opportunity,” according to the Chamber.
The initiative, led by the Global Action Platform, is in partnership with the Porter Development Initiative.
