UPPER CUMBERLAND – Tommy Fitzgerald Jr. and Nick Bresaw of Fitzgerald Glider Kits finalized the purchase two Peterbilt dealerships in the southwest region of Virginia, company officials announced today.
The two dealerships acquired, formerly Performance Peterbilt of Bristol, are located at 33392 Lee Highway, Glade Spring, Virginia, and 220 Kelly Road, Fancy Gap, Virginia. These dealerships will now be renamed and operated as Fitzgerald Peterbilt.
Fitzgerald – who is now the youngest Peterbilt dealer principle in the country – will oversee the operations and the growth of the dealerships. The change was effective Monday.
“I’m truly honored to be accepted into the Peterbilt dealer community,” he said in a release. “I couldn’t begin to thank my father Tommy Sr. and Peterbilt enough for believing in me and giving me this opportunity.”
Fitzgerald is no stranger to building strong companies. Filling the role of partner/head of marketing and sales for almost the last decade, he has worked side-by-side with his father Fitzgerald Sr., his uncle Rick Fitzgerald, brother Robert Fitzgerald and longtime family friend, Nick Bresaw, to make Fitzgerald Glider Kits an industry leader and household name.
“Through new aged communication and marketing techniques, I hope to bring additional pride to an already great brand. I want to raise the bar on customer service and care,” he said.
Performance Peterbilt of Bristol LLC was founded in 2002. The company offers sales, parts, service and contract maintenance to the Tri-Cities region, which encompasses company headquarters in Virginia.
