Hall faces up to 10 years in federal prison for each health care fraud count
Phillip Hall, a Pharmacist and owner of Hall Family Pharmacy in Jamestown, was charged with healthcare fraud and Aggravated identity theft and was set to go to trial. That trial has been postponed until April of next year.
Hall was indicted federally on nine counts of health care fraud and six counts of aggravated identity theft.
According to the Department of Justice, “between 2018 and May 2024, Hall allegedly submitted over $6 million in false claims to Medicare, Medicaid, TRICARE and Blue Cross Blue Shield. The charges allege he billed these programs for prescriptions that were not medically necessary, not actually dispensed, or not ordered by a health care provider.”
He was also accused of using other people’s identification without authorization to seek reimbursement for claims. If convicted, Hall faces up to 10 years in federal prison for each health care fraud count and two years for each aggravated identity theft count.
Hall is considered innocent until proven guilty.
