Local, state and federal officials celebrated the opening
Recently, Gov. Bill Lee and TNECD Commissioner Stuart C. McWhorter alongside Tennessee Board of Regents Chancellor Flora Tydings joined local, state and federal officials earlier to celebrate the opening of the Tennessee College of Applied Technology (TCAT) at Stanton.
In 2021, Ford Motor Company committed to creating 6,000 new jobs by 2025 at its BlueOval City campus.
“West Tennessee is primed to deliver the workforce and quality of life needed to create the next great American success story with Ford Motor Company and SK Innovation,” Gov. Lee said in previous statements about BlueOval. “This is a watershed moment for Tennesseans as we lead the future of the automotive industry and advanced manufacturing.”
TCAT Stanton will further ensure Tennesseans are trained, ready and able to fill these new positions.
