Announcement comes on the heels of McDonald’s announcement that the company’s statewide sales growth grew 6% globally
The Cookeville-Putnam Chamber of Commerce (Chamber) has announced McDonald’s will be breaking ground in Cookeville next Thursday, Sept. 11 at 11:30 a.m. The fast-food king’s latest restaurant, owned and operated by Funderburk Family McDonald’s, in the county, will set up shop at 1201 N Washington Avenue.
“We are excited to celebrate the groundbreaking of the new McDonald’s on Washington Avenue,” according to the Chamber
The 3,693-square-foot restaurant will be built by Hudson Company and is expected to open in Dec. 2025.
“This project marks another great investment in our community, bringing new opportunities for jobs, dining and continued economic growth,” according to the Chamber.
The announcement comes on the heels of McDonald’s announcement that the company’s global sales growth grew 6%.
“Our 6% global Systemwide sales growth this quarter is a testament to the power of compelling value, standout marketing and menu innovation—proving again that when we stay focused on executing what matters most to our customers, we grow,” said Chairman and CEO Chris Kempczinski.
Highlights from the Earnings Release
- Global comparable sales increased 3.8%, with broad-based growth across all segments
- Systemwide sales* to loyalty members across 60 loyalty markets were approximately $33 billion for the trailing twelve-month period and approximately $9 billion for the quarter
