FAIRFIELD GLADE – The Fairfield Glade Community Club (FGCC) announce Tuesday the installation of a WATE-TV weather camera at the new Dorchester Clubhouse.
WATE-TV is an ABC affiliate in Knoxville, and the weather camera will be utilized by their team of meteorologists to offer up-to-the-minute weather information to the station’s viewing area. The partnership will allow WATE-TV to live-stream weather from Fairfield Glade. The camera is positioned on the Dorchester Clubhouse offering views from hole No. 1. The WATE meteorologists are very interested in the Cumberland Plateau weather patterns, Dorchester officials said.
WATE-TV has a total of 10 weather cameras with the newest camera in Fairfield Glade. WATE-TV also has a weather camera in Crossville on the City Hall building. Footage from the Fairfield Glade weather camera will be included in live newscasts by the WATE meteorologists and live streaming of the weather can also be viewed on WATE’s web site beginning Nov. 24. A link will soon be added to the Fairfield Glade web site so residents and guests can view live video of the Dorchester golf course and current weather conditions in Fairfield Glade.
