Helping Hands to receive donation
Cookeville – Express Employment Professionals, along with its franchise location in Cookeville, is donating $3,000 to Helping Hands, which provides emergency assistance to individuals and families facing poverty or crisis.
The donation is part of the Brand It Blue Initiative through the company’s philanthropic committee, designed to give back to nonprofits nominated by franchisees among their more than 860 franchise locations. Award amounts were recently announced at Express’ Sales and Leadership Education Summit held at three locations across the U.S.
“We are so proud of our Express franchise owners and staff who not only provide hope through employment in their communities, but also go above and beyond to invest in other causes,” said Bill Stoller, CEO and chairman of the board of Express Employment Professionals. “We are thrilled to help award this donation to Helping Hands, a cause dear to the heart of the Express family.”
According to Express employment, Helping Hands has made an impact on our community and those in need.
“They always go above and beyond to meet the needs of those in the Upper Cumberland area who are struggling,” said Express in a release. “We are lucky to have a place like Helping Hands in Cookeville.”
Cookeville’s Express franchise owner Tasha Otte says many of their associates have benefited from Helping Hands.
“Our Cookeville, TN office chose to partner with Helping Hands of Putnam County because of how many of our own associates who have benefited from their assistance,” said Otte. “It was our associates who told us when they needed food or to keep their electric from being turned off when times were difficult Helping Hands was able to make their difficult time less stressful. It is extremely important that our community learn about the value of what our local nonprofits offer and the importance of helping monetarily or by asking them what other tangible donations they need.”
The Cookeville franchise, located at 1459 Interstate Drive, began operation in 2012 and serve Cookeville and surrounding areas with temporary help and direct hire employees in a variety of fields, including Administrative, Skilled Trades, Light Industrial and Professional.
