COOKEVILLE – Tennessee Tech University’s final College Town Weekend of the spring semester runs from Friday, April 29 to Saturday, April 30.
The feature event to close out the spring semester will be EagleFest, a free outdoor, end-of-the-year celebration for students from 3-8 p.m. April 30, in Tech’s RUC Backyard, Centennial Plaza and Main Quad. Enjoy live music, a variety of free food options, yard games, Polaroid photo stations, inflatables and tie-dye a Tech t-shirt. Giveaways and prizes will be handed out every hour.
Other events going on this weekend include:
- “Paint Your Pet” – Friday, April 29. Participants can share photos of their pets at least one day before class and arrive at the event ready to paint a picture of the photo they shared. Those joining should arrive at The Art Jam (111 W 1st St, Cookeville) by 5 p.m. Tickets are $20-$35 based on canvas size. - Tech’s baseball team will face off against Eastern Illinois’s team Friday, April 29. The game starts at 6 p.m. on Tech’s baseball field, and is free for students who bring student ID.
- Cookeville Storyfest is being held at Dogwood Park on Saturday, April 30, starting at 10:30 a.m. and going until 4:30 p.m. Hear stories from talented storytellers, with headliner Tim Lowry who won the Oracle Award from the National Storytelling Network in 2020. Admission is free. Booths from local craftspeople will also be set up.
- On Saturday, April 30, Tech’s softball team will play against Murray State. The game starts at 1 p.m. at Tech’s softball field, and is free for students with student ID.
