$1,500 Operation Helping Heroes donation

Cookeville –  COUNTRY Financial Representative Jared Dunn donated $1,500 to Algood Elementary as part of the Operation Helping Heroes program.  The funds will be used for $100 Visa gift cards for teacher of the month.

The November teacher of the month is Laura Brown.

“We are pleased to support our local teachers. Their dedication and services are appreciated in the community,” said Dunn.

Brown said the donation is an honor.

“I am honored to be chosen as November’s teacher of the month,” said Brown. “I am blessed because each day I go to school, my amazing team of teachers is there to support me. I have two principals who guide and sharpen me as a professional. Years of students have blessed my life immeasurably. Teaching takes a team. That is why I appreciate when parents and people from the community take time to say, ‘Hey, we are thankful for you too’.  That is why I am so very thankful to Jared Dunn, with Country Financial, for his continuous support and devotion to our school,”

COUNTRY Financial, an insurance and financial services company, has donated more than $4 million since 2020 to organizations and programs that support teachers, first responders, active-duty service members and veterans, supporting the company’s vision to “enrich lives in the communities we serve.” The Operation Helping Heroes program was created in 2015 to support non-profit events and programs that benefit active-duty service members, veterans and their families. Later, the program expanded to include first responders and teachers.
