This class is offered Feb. 18 from 10 a.m. to Noon at Dogwood Exchange

Crossville – Susan Smathers will offer an alcohol ink class where students decorate two light switch covers with alcohol inks on Feb. 18. This is a beginner class where students learn the basics of using these artistic inks. Students learn surfaces on which alcohol ink will work as well as techniques using the inks and supplies needed.

The cost of the class is $25.

Susan began learning alcohol inks four years ago and enjoyed the way they moved differently than other types of paints, according to The Dogwood Exchange (TDE).

“Each person can be so creative with alcohol inks whether you like abstracts or more realist artwork,” according to TDE. “There are so many ways to use alcohol inks and can be a lot of fun.”

The class is from 10 a.m. to Noon at TDE, 92 E. First St. in Crossville. All supplies provided including two sizes of switch covers. Students may bring any preferred alcohol inks.
