“This fills a need we have in the city.” – Crossville Mayor R.J. Crawford.

The Crossville YMCA will hold a groundbreaking Oct. 31 at 2 p.m. in Crossville. The Crossville–Cumberland County Chamber of Commerce (Chamber) will be on hand for the event.

“I believe this Recreation Center will be a good thing because it will become a focal point for our community. The City Council and I are always looking for ways to create amenities while offering a better value for our community. This fills a need we have in the city. It will provide additional opportunities downtown which is important because younger professionals prefer downtown housing with more quality-of-life amenities and that is a major factor for them when they decided where they will live,” said Crossville Mayor R.J. Crawford.

Crossville Recreation Center groundbreaking.

“The city is creating a public-private partnership which will balance fiscal responsibility and investment for a project of this scale. it will be a game changer to improve the quality of life for residents of Crossville,” continued Crawford.

The event will take place at North Main Street and Livingston Road in Crossville.

“Please join us October 31, 2024 at 2 p.m. We are excited to break ground for our new recreation center,” said the Chamber.
