For every product sold, a meal is donated
Crossfit Mayhem at 601 Rich Froning Way in Putnam County will host Mtn Ops’ Operation Conquer Hunger (OCH) tomorrow. The event runs from 11 a.m.to 12:30 p.m.
“You can come and volunteer to pack food bags for local food banks and school programs like the PEP Foundation,” according to a release.
OCH says the mission is to “end food insecurity for children and families across America – and we need you to be part of it.”
For every product sold on the website, a meal is donated. The event will support local families by directly benefiting two incredible local organizations:
- Putnam Education Partnership Foundation’s Backpack Program (PEP Foundation Backpack Program) – Providing a backpack with breakfast, lunch, and snack items to support to Putnam County students in need over the weekends when school meals are not available.
- Nourish Food Bank (nourishfoodbanks.org) – Serving Middle Tennessee by offering dignity-based food assistance to families facing hunger.
“Every box packed, every meal counted — it all goes to helping these trusted partners to serve children and families right here at home,” according to a release.
