CRMC’s Highland Rim Home Health now Cookeville Regional Home Health

COOKEVILLE Highland Rim Home Health, a department of Cookeville Regional Medical Center (CRMC), is now known as Cookeville Regional Home Health. The home health offices are still located at 2370 Quinland Lake Road in Suite 150, near Highway 111.

“Our home health still offers the same great care from the same highly qualified and compassionate staff,” said Paul Korth, CRMC CEO. “We simply felt that the name Cookeville Regional Home Health was more in line with who we are and lets people know right away that it is a service provided by Cookeville Regional Medical Center. We are pleased to offer home health services for our region, and our patients can rest assured that they are getting the same quality care that they’ve grown to expect from us over the years. The only change is the name.”

Serving patients throughout the Upper Cumberland in 14 counties, Cookeville Regional Home Health is a full service home care agency providing services for patients in their homes, including skilled nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, medical social services, private duty nursing care and personal care. The home health was established in 1978 as Highland Rim Home Health and then purchased by Cookeville Regional in 1988 to expand services for patients and their families.

“Home health has many benefits for patients as well as their families,” said Joy Carr, director of Cookeville Regional Home Health. “Home care often allows the patient to receive services to meet their individual needs right there at home. It is especially beneficial for those who are chronically ill or living with a disability since it may make a difference in them staying in their own home or having to move to a long term care facility.”

Cookeville Regional Home Health provides a highly trained, interdisciplinary team of nurses, therapists, technicians and nursing support staff to meet the comprehensive needs of homebound patients. A registered nurse is on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week to respond to patient needs and questions.

Home health services are covered by most insurance plans, including Medicare, TennCare and Medicaid. If you think you could benefit from home health services, ask your healthcare provider to see if you qualify.
