CRMC to hosts community health fair Saturday

COOKEVILLE – Cookeville Regional Medical Center (CRMC) will be hosting its quarterly health fair from 7-10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 10. The health fair is open to the public and provides an opportunity for community members to participate in several health screenings to stay abreast of their health.

Screenings available include:

  • Cholesterol and lipid profile
  • Vitamin D level
  • Bone density
  • Prostate specific antigen
  • Complete blood count
  • Complete chemistry profile
  • Thyroid profile
  • Hemoglobin A1C
  • Blood type
  • Pulmonary function test
  • Testosterone level

 

Ultrasound vascular screenings also include: carotid artery screening, abdominal aortic aneurysm screening and peripheral vascular disease screening.

Fasting is recommended for 12 hours before either the complete chemistry profile or lipid profile. Blood is drawn only once even if you have all lab studies done.

In addition, a variety of free screenings will be offered:

  • Blood pressure
  • Oxygen saturation
  • Height
  • Weight
  • BMI
