Beat the Heat with the “Summer Splash 5K

Cookeville – Cookeville Regional Medical Center (CRMC) will hold its “Summer Splash 5K” June 24. Racing begins at 6 p.m. near Dogwood Park Pavillion.

“Get ready to beat the summer heat,” said CRMC in a release. “Proceeds from the 5K will help local cancer patients. The “Summer Splash” is a family-friendly 5K offering opportunities to cool off along the course at gentle misting stations and optional drenching stations. Run or walk, participants will likely get wet during this race.”

The race is presented by Eye Centers of Tennessee, Raising Canes and Roland Digital Media. The “Summer Splash 5K” will also include entertainment before the race at the Dogwood Park pavilion. On-site registration will open at 5 p.m. with the race to begin at 6 p.m. Proceeds from the “Summer Splash 5K” will go toward the Cancer Fund at Cookeville Regional Charitable Foundation in honor and memory of Sarah Alice Bagci. The Cancer Fund provides charitable assistance to struggling Upper Cumberland residents facing a cancer diagnosis.
