CRMC health fair to include car seat safety demonstration

COOKEVILLE Do you wonder if your child’s car seat is installed properly? Do you have questions about where your child should sit in the car? Cookeville Regional Medical Center will be hosting its quarterly health fair from 7-10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, and in addition to providing health screenings, staff will be on hand to demonstrate car seat safety and to answer questions.

Screenings available at the health fair include:

  • Cholesterol and lipid profile
  • Vitamin D level
  • Bone density
  • Prostate Specific Antigen
  • Complete blood count
  • Complete chemistry profile
  • Thyroid profile
  • Hemoglobin A1C
  • B-12 level
  • Folate level (folic acid)
  • Blood type
  • Pulmonary function test
  • Testosterone level
  • Low-dose CT lung screening (qualifying criteria required)

 

Fasting is recommended for 12 hours before either the complete chemistry profile or lipid profile is drawn. Blood is drawn only once even if you have all lab studies done.

Ultrasound Vascular Screenings

  • Carotid artery screening
  • Abdominal aortic aneurysm screening
  • Peripheral vascular disease screening

  • Oxygen saturation
  • Height
  • Weight
  • BMI

 

The health fair will be held in the hospital’s Education Center located inside the east entrance of the hospital beside the Emergency Room.
