COVID-19: News Talk 94.1 to air church services

COOKEVILLE – News Talk 94.1/AM 1600 will air local church worship services Sunday to assist churches closing because of COVID-19.

The schedule supplements the existing schedule of local services aired Sunday mornings from 9 a.m.-Noon each week.

12 p.m. First Baptist Church of Cookeville

1 p.m. First Baptist Church of Monterey

1:30 p.m. Sovereign Grace Baptist Church

2 p.m. Nash Grove Baptist Church

2:30 p.m. I AM Worship

3 p.m. Living Hope Church

3:30 p.m. Smyrna Church of Christ

“It is important to use all technology available to make these services available at this most difficult time,” Operations Manager Marcia Lee said. “We are happy to make this time available free of charge to local churches so that local residents can enjoy a moment of worship.”

Churches interested in providing a message of worship during this period may email larry@stonecomradio.com.

The programs will air this Sunday and next Sunday. The airings will be extended if guidance against social gathering continues from federal authorities.
