COOKEVILLE – The Tennessee Department of Health announced today that DeKalb County now has its first confirmed case of COVID-19. This case joins the two in Cumberland and six in Putnam counties bringing the total cases in the Upper Cumberland to nine.

Putnam County Health Department will have drive thru testing available on Wednesday from 1-3 p.m. at their location at 701 County Services Dr., Cookeville. No drive thru testing will be offered on Tuesday due to forecasted severe weather.

Monday, PCHD did 58 tests during their two hour clinic. Results are now expected back in 5-10 days due to the huge increase in the numbers being tested.

Statewide coronavirus numbers can be found here. The statewide numbers for positive tests will be updated daily at 2 p.m.
