To coincide with National Go Red Day, Covenant Health, located at 421 S Main Street in Crossville, will host a Ribbon Cutting in Cumberland County. The Crossville-Cumberland County Chamber of Commerce (Chamber) will be on hand for the event.
“We encourage everyone to wear red to celebrate and raise awareness for heart health,” said the Chamber.
The event will feature a Ribbon Cutting at 12:30 p.m., guided tours of the facilitie’s new Cath Lab and refreshments will be served.
“We are honored by your presence as we celebrate this significant milestone,” said the Chamber.
Covenant Health’s Cumberland Medical Center was also recently named one of 15 hospitals out of 700 named “America’s Best-in-State Hospitals for 2025” by Newsweek, according to a release by the company.
“Every team member at Cumberland Medical Center is committed to caring for our patients as if they are our friends or family members,” said Randy Davis, president and chief administrative officer of Cumberland Medical Center in the release. “Our great attitudes and caring spirit shine through in all that we do, and we are so proud to be recognized by Newsweek as the single best hospital in the Upper Cumberland region. Additionally, we are equally proud to be a part of Covenant Health, which has four hospitals in the top 15 in the state.”
Emphasis was placed on health care equity and accreditation data from the Joint Commission and the American College of Surgeons.
“This year’s rankings celebrate the outstanding hospitals that are setting new standards for patient care and innovation. We’re proud to highlight the facilities making a meaningful impact in their communities by consistently delivering exceptional health care,” said Josh Smith, Newsweek’s director of growth and strategic partnerships.
