Chain will receive a certificate of occupancy (CO) on Friday
Crossville – Construction on the new McAlisters location near the Lowes at 2431 N. Main Street in Crossville is ending and according to sources, the sandwich shop super chain will receive a certificate of occupancy (CO) on Friday. Originally, the shop expected to open in November.
The CO comes after five months of construction. A CO is a document proving the building complies substantially with the plans and specifications submitted and approved by the building or zoning authority. It also certifies use (residential, commercial, industrial, etc.). Once obtained, the building is considered fit for occupancy.
In other words, humans can work, eat, drink and play inside the building after Friday. If you want a quicker option, they even have a drive thru.
Completion – Crews put on the final touches of the new McAlister’s location in Crossville.
“Over the past 13 years it has been exciting to watch McAlister’s Deli expand its footprint at a rapid pace,” said Mike Freeman, McAlister’s Chief Brand Officer, when the company reached 500 restaurants a few years back. “… It’s rewarding to see the investments we’ve made positively impact our growth, and I am proud of our franchisees, corporate team members, and each guest who played an integral part in our journey. …”
According to a release by the company, the accelerated growth is fueled by the “prioritization of enhancing the guest dining experience with improvements to its mobile app and loyalty program, leveraging digital technology to increase the number of service options to make the brand more accessible.”
McAlister’s Deli currently has over 500 restaurants across 29 states. The Crossville location is part of an “aggressive expansion” focusing on more locations in Southeast, Midwest and mid-Atlantic states.
