CELINA – The Clay County farmer’s market will kick off its 2019 season on Saturday, June 15 at the Clay County Courthouse square.
The farmers market will begin at 8 a.m. and will be held every Saturday as long as produce and other products last through the summer and early fall, organizers say.
Vendors and buyers will be important to sustaining the effort.
“We need people who are willing to sell their goods and we need consumers who are willing to come out and buy these goods,” a spokesperson for the organizers said. “Anytime you talk about a farmer’s market, everyone always thinks it’s a great idea. We need folks to come out and support the effort, and buy some products grown and made right here in Clay County.”
Potential vendors need to review the market rules and sign a contract prior to selling. For more information on this process or to have any questions answered about the farmers market, please contact Kristen Rich at the Clay County Extension office at 931-243-2311.
