New parking app is part of the City’s effort to improve parking in Cookeville’s downtown area

The City of Cookeville is pleased to announce a new public parking application now available for public use. The free app, designed by the City’s Community Development Department, helps visitors and residents easily locate public parking options in the downtown Cookeville area.

By selecting their current location or entering the location they wish to visit, users can see nearby parking options highlighted on the interactive map. The app will also show a list of nearby parking listed in order of closest proximity.

According to James Mills, Cookeville City Manager, the new parking app is part of the City’s effort to improve parking in Cookeville’s downtown area.

“The City has been steadily increasing available parking to accommodate the growing needs of our popular Westside District,” says Mills. “This new application will help residents and visitors locate these new parking options and gain greater access to our city’s attractions.”

The public parking app is available for free through the City of Cookeville’s website at cookeville-tn.gov. The app can be accessed in the “Popular Resources” section of the homepage and under “Community” in the site’s primary navigation. This web-based tool can be used on phones, computers, or other personal devices without needing to download.
