Company has provided retail development marketing and consulting services to city since 2014

Cookeville – Tuesday evening, the Cookeville City Council approved a contract extension with consulting firm Retail Strategies for retail development marketing and consulting services in the city.

Retail strategies provides retail recruitment, related research and market and real estate analysis for the city.

“The city of Cookeville has contracted with this firm since 2014,” said Cookeville Planning Director Jon Ward. “The contract renewal would continue these services through Oct. 2024.”

The contract renewal cost remains at $25,000.

“I have reached out to our contact with the consulting firm and once we execute the contract, they will update our data and slide decks and we can publish some of that to our website and make that information available. I also discussed the opportunity for them to present as we discuss.”

A motion to approve was made by Councilman Eric Walker and second by Councilman Ali Bagci before the council unanimously approved the motion.
