MCMINNVILLE – On Friday, Feb. 19, PBS will showcase “The Best of Bluegrass Underground,” a one-hour special featuring the top performances from the first five seasons of the nine-time Emmy-winning Americana music series.
“The Best of Bluegrass Underground” features a mix of Americana’s hottest young performers (Jason Isbell, Old Crow Medicine Show), iconic artists (Lucinda Williams, Vince Gill, Doyle Lawson, Widespread Panic) and rising stars (Sarah Jarosz, Davina & The Vagabonds).
Dubbed, “The Greatest Show Under Earth,” Bluegrass Underground is filmed at Cumberland Caverns in the world-famous Volcano Room, 333 feet beneath the Cumberland Plateau.
