“Heart disease remains one of the leading health concerns in Tennessee.”
(UCBJ) – Ascension Saint Thomas River Park (ASTRP) in McMinnville has added board-certified cardiologist Dr. Scott Reising to the team. The hospital says county growth (4,000 people since 2010) has fueled a need for doctors, particularly in cardiovascular care.
ASTRP is a 125-bed hospital and the largest of Saint Thomas’ hospitals in the Upper Cumberland.
“Heart disease remains one of the leading health concerns in Tennessee, making timely access to preventive and specialized cardiology services increasingly important for patients and families,” according to a release by the company.
The addition of Reising, who has 15 years of clinical experience in preventive cardiology, coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, cardiomyopathies, and cardiac arrhythmias, strengthens advanced heart care close to home.
“Patients deserve to fully understand their heart health and feel empowered in the decisions they make,” Dr. Reising said. “My goal is to partner with each patient to identify risk early, provide clear guidance, and help them take meaningful steps toward a healthier future.”
ASTRP employs 400 associates.
