BHT was originally established in 2019 in Cookeville

The hardest year for any business is that first one. Black Heart Tattoo parlor, owned and operated by Emily Sands has crossed that bridge on its Baxter location.

BHT was originally established in 2019 in Cookeville before expanding last year.

“Established in 2019, this woman-owned, appointment-only studio has built a strong reputation for quality and artistry,” according to the Cookeville-Putnam County Chamber of Commerce.

The Chamber will be on hand for the celebration Oct. 7. In its time, BHT has earned a reputation as one of the best in the business.

“In fact, they were recently named a Herald-Citizen Readers’ Choice winner for 2025. Black Heart Tattoo continues to make its mark as a trusted and creative space for clients in the Upper Cumberland,” according to the Chamber.

The public is welcome.

“Join us as we cut the ribbon and recognize this exciting milestone,” according to the Chamber.

The ribbon cutting begins at 207 Broad Street in Baxter at 11 a.m.
