WCTE-TV preps for Great TV Auction

COOKEVILLE – The staff at WCTE are preparing for the 2018 installment of the Great TV Auction, promising this year’s auction will be bigger and better than ever.

Beginning Thursday, May 31 at 7 p.m., watching WCTE will give viewers a chance to win an exciting dream vacation to Barbados, Saint Lucia, or Antigua, bid on unique art, stock up on gift certificates, or get a summer camp package for the kids.

The auction events will take place over the course of eight nights and viewers will be able to participate in the action from anywhere with live streaming. The Live Stream, offered through wcte.org, features real-time bidding from a smartphone or tablet.

Some of the other items donated and will be up for bid include stools used on the set of the show “Nashville”, a kayak from Jackson Kayak, and a variety of unique gift baskets from area merchants.

The WCTE Great TV Auction spans eight nights beginning Thursday, May 31 at 7 p.m., lasting through June 3 and picking up again from June 7 through June 10. To view the auction, tune in to Channel 8 Charter, Channel 22 DIRECTV or check local listings.
