Vol State Livingston to hold ‘College Next Step’ event

OVERTON COUNTY – Volunteer State Community College at Livingston will hold a “College Next Step” event from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18, at its 113 Windle Community Road campus.

Admissions representatives from four-year colleges and universities in the area will be on hand to meet with current students about transferring. Vol State staff will be available to help current and prospective students with collegiate goals at Vol State.

Austin Peay State University, Middle Tennessee State University, Tennessee State University, Tennessee Tech University and University of Tennessee are among those to be in attendance.

“This is a great day for students and parents to learn about Vol State degrees, Tennessee Promise, and how it all fits with the four-year schools,” Michael Powell, director at Vol State at Livingston, said.
