UPPER CUMBERLAND – The Upper Cumberland Human Resource Agency (UCHRA) would like to invite anyone 55 years or older who meets the eligibility guidelines to be a part of our Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP).
This program provides on-the-job training for older individuals seeking gainful employment in the Upper Cumberland region. The training is 20 hours per week at the current minimum wage with government and non-profit agencies.
The program provides assessment and testing services to determine participants’ present skill level and for the types of occupations they would like to train. They conduct meetings to teach individuals the best methods for finding, applying, interviewing, getting, and keeping the right job. SCSEP can also refer participants to the American Job Center for basic computer training as well as other employment and training programs.
