COOKEVILLE – Tennessee Tech’s online master of business administration program is the top online MBA program for the military in Tennessee and 22nd in the nation, according to College Consensus.

College Consensus looked at more than 570 distance MBA programs in the country. Only MBA programs offered 100% online were ranked, which is optimal for military personnel who often get relocated or deployed while enrolled in the program. Affordability, reputation and convenience were also looked at.

“Tennessee Tech’s online MBA offers students the opportunity to pursue a degree with the reputation and distinction of an accredited program, and the flexibility that accommodates personal and professional obligations,” said Thomas Payne, dean of the College of Business. “Students can conveniently access course content and communicate directly with faculty from anywhere in the world, making the Tennessee Tech MBA ideal for students studying abroad, traveling for work or on active military duty.”

Tech’s program also ranked as the top Tennessee program in the best online MBA majors for non-business majors.

“The College of Business at Tennessee Technological University delivers a top-notch online MBA for non-business majors,” the ranking states. “The business school advertises that the completion of three elective courses within a discipline will constitute a specialization within a specific field in the MBA program. While there are no particular concentrations listed, the business school does feature a hybrid Industry Immersed MBA in Healthcare.”

College Consensus looks at affordability, convenience and reputation when putting rankings together. The tuition rate for the 30-credit hour program is between $20,000 and $25,000. Candidates with a terminal degree or a master’s degree can apply for a GMAT waiver during the acceptance process.
