Son, grandson take over helm of UC bankruptcy firm

COOKEVILLE – The law firm of Lefkovitz and Lefkovitz, one of the most established bankruptcy firms in the Upper Cumberland region, is now being headed by Steve Lefkovitz and Jay Lefkovitz, following the passing of Arnold E. Lefkovitz, who died Jan. 20 following a brief illness.

Arnold Lefkovitz, a well-known attorney in the area, left behind a long-standing reputation of having served the residents of the Upper Cumberland community, the Lefkovitzs said in a release. It was Arnold’s wish to pass the firm on to his son Steve Lefkovitz and grandson Jay Lefkovitz so that they could continue his commitment to the Upper Cumberland.

“My grandfather has always called Cookeville home, and the Lefkovitz family has been deeply rooted in the Upper Cumberland region since 1929,” Jay Lefkovitz said. “Taking on the legacy in which my grandfather built is a task my father and I take very seriously. We plan on serving our clients with the same respect and trust that my grandfather was known for.”

Jay and Steve Lefkovitz will continue where Arnold left off, handling legal matters in the areas of bankruptcy, divorce, child support, adoptions and probate. Both Steve and Jay have an extensive legal background, having an aggregate of nearly 40 years of legal experience between them.

The law office of Lefkovitz and Lefkovitz is located at 312A E. Broad St., Cookeville. For more information, call (931) 528-5297.
