Schultz named Controller at J. Cumby Construction

COOKEVILLE – Local contractor J. Cumby Construction has recently named Heather Schultz to the position of controller.

Schultz has more than 11 years of experience working in various administrative roles in the construction industry. Most recently, she served as controller for a Wisconsin-based electrical contractor.

“We’re excited to have someone of Heather’s character and experience join our team,” said Justin Cumby, president of J. Cumby Construction. “It’s important to have the right people in the right positions working together so we can do our best each day. It’s true on a construction site, and it’s true in the office. We’re a better team with Heather on board.”

As controller, Schultz is responsible for all financial reporting, as well as overseeing accounts payable and accounts receivable. She will also work closely with J. Cumby Construction’s management team to establish financial policies.

Schultz graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. Prior to working in the construction industry, she spent 10 years in real estate management and ran her own equestrian training business.
