COOKEVILLE – The Cookeville Ruby Tuesday restaurant on Interstate Drive unexpectedly shut its doors on Monday, April 29 after more than a decade at the location.

A sign was posted on the door that reads, “We are sorry for any inconvenience that this may have caused you and look forward to serving you in one of our other restaurants soon.”

According to internet reports, five other locations have also been closed unexpectedly in recent days, including restaurants in Monroe, Mich.; Hamburg, NY; Erie, Pa. and two locations in Myrtle Beach, S.C. The location in Prince Frederick, Md. closed suddenly in late January 2019.

According to Restaurant Business, a publication based in Illinois and Arizona, Ruby Tuesday closed 51 of its locations across the U.S. in 2018.
