‘Restaurant Week’ returns with 19 local eateries

restaurant weekCOOKEVILLE – Nineteen local restaurants will offer special menus next week as part of Cookeville Regional Foundation’s second Restaurant Week.

From Sunday, March 6, through Saturday, March 12, Backroom Bistro, Char, Crawdaddy’s, El Magueyal, Father Tom’s Pub, Fiesta Cancun, Flipp-N-Burger, Foglight Foodhouse, Gondola, Mamma Rosa’s, Mauricio’s, Nick’s, Poets, Seven Senses, Spankies, The Bull & Thistle, The Cooke House, WestSide Deli and World Foods will offer dishes, meals and combinations not normally featured on their regular menu.

The initiative is a fundraising effort for the non-profit group.

Participating restaurants will offer unique entrées, combinations of entrées and desserts or appetizers, and specialty dishes at set prices of $15 or $25. For each meal ordered at a participating restaurant, $5 will be donated to the Foundation. For a listing of Restaurant Week menus, visit www.CookevilleRestaurantWeek.org.

Restaurant Week is sponsored by IWC and supports the charitable programs and services provided by Cookeville Regional Charitable Foundation. One hundred percent of funds raised through Restaurant Week will support patients in the community.

“This is a great opportunity to enjoy something new at some of the best local restaurants in our area, and help out local patients at the same time,” John Bell, Foundation director, said.

The inaugural Restaurant Week in 2015 included 14 area restaurants and helped raise $6,000. Several other U.S. cities including Charlotte, Nashville and Austin have built similar restaurant week events into popular culinary experiences and significant tourist draws. The Foundation
