Rescue Mission to hold inaugural graduation

COOKEVILLE – The Cookeville Rescue Mission will hold its inaugural Life Transformation graduation on Friday, Aug. 23 at 6 p.m. with guest speaker Mike Womack of Feed America First

Six individuals will graduate from our newly launched long-term program after successfully completing all requirements of the program courses. During the graduation ceremony, attendees will get to hear the testimony of each of the graduates and how their lives have changed as a result of completing the program.

The newly launched Life Transformation Program features a curriculum that includes the core focus of the Genesis Process which addresses a broad array of factors that impact people and lead them away from the life God intended for them. The Genesis Process information can be found at this web site:  https://www.genesisprocess.org/process-descriptions

The program is 12 to 15 months long depending on the pace of the individual and their desire to make serious life changes out of addiction and a homeless life.

The guest speaker for the event is Mike Womack, CEO of Feed America First from Murfreesboro. Feed America First distributes food to area churches and nonprofit groups once a month through Salem Church in Cookeville.

The graduation will be at the Stevens Street Church, 327 W. Stevens St. in the Fellowship Hall beginning at 6 p.m. The event is free to the public and light refreshments will be served.
