Putnam Room hosts Northern California cuisine wine dinner

COOKEVILLE – Make your reservations for the Putnam Room’s August Wine Dinner, featuring a menu of Northern California cuisine, on Thursday, Aug. 22, from 6 to 9 p.m. at 319 E. Spring St. in Cookeville. Tickets are $85 per person.

Taste delicious dishes prepared by Chef Chad Combs and inspired by Northern California cuisine like grilled tomato and spinach pizza with candied garlic and basil; arugula salad with grilled pear vinaigrette, blueberry and lemon thyme goat cheese; and crispy-skin salmon with cauliflower purée and grilled fruit. Each course will be paired with a wine chosen specifically for the flavor combinations.

The Putnam Room’s warm and intimate atmosphere makes the monthly wine dinners great for date night or a night out with friends. It is also a good way to learn more about pairing various dishes with specific wines meant to bring out the most robust and subtle flavors in each dish.

“Hosting the wine dinners is undoubtedly our favorite aspect of the restaurant business,” said Jay Albrecht, owner of Seven Senses Food & Cheer. “We pride ourselves on bringing a big city experience to our local clientele, and it’s truly gratifying to see so many happy guests return over and over again. Also, these special wine dinners give Chef Chad Combs the opportunity to cook and present dishes he is most passionate about.”

Monthly wine dinners are held at the Putnam Room and cohosted by Blue Rooster Canteen and Seven Senses Food & Cheer. Seating is limited. Make your reservations by calling 931/644-3722 or email info@blueroostercanteen.com. Like and follow the Putnam Room on Facebook, where you can also view the complete wine dinner menu.
