PSB celebrates 10 years in Cookeville

COOKEVILLE – In June 1980, Progressive Savings and Loan opened its doors in Jamestown with capital assets of $1 million and three employees. Less than 30 years later, founder Lyndon Rains had the vision to expand to Cookeville, and after Lyndon passed away, his son Steve Rains championed his father’s vision to create the first bank in the market combining banking services with an insurance agency (The Rains Agency), a registered investment advisory firm (Cravens & Company Wealth Management) and eventually a full-service accounting firm (Progressive Tax & Accounting).

Progressive Savings Bank expanded into Cookeville in 2005, and in July 2009, Progressive Savings Bank opened its Cookeville location at 1080 Interstate Drive. Ten years later, Progressive Savings Bank is still the only bank in the Cookeville market that can service all your financial needs in one convenient location.

The public is invited to come celebrate 10 years of business at the Cookeville location. A reception will be held July 18 from 5 – 7 p.m. Refreshments and entertainment will be provided.
