'Rally Point' to help veterans is June 13

COOKEVILLE — An event that aims to connect veterans with services in their area is scheduled for Wednesday, June 13, at the Leslie Town Centre in Cookeville.
Rally Point, which is free, will offer veterans one-stop access to resources, agencies and organizations, including the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, U.S. Department of Labor, the VA Cookeville Outpatient Clinic and more (see flyer with details here). Services will include VA claim assistance, vocational rehabilitation, education, employment, mental health, housing, business loans and more.
It will be held from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. and is being hosted by various elected officials, including Sens. Bob Corker and Lamar Alexander, Congressmen Diane Black and Scott DesJarlais, Putnam County Executive Kim Blaylock and Cookeville Mayor Matt Swallows, along with the Cookeville-Putnam County Chamber of Commerce and the Leslie Town Centre, located at 1 W. First St., Cookeville.
