COOKEVILLE – Zaid Brifkani, M.D., a specialist in nephrology, has returned to Cookeville Regional Medical Center (CRMC) and will be joining Cookeville Regional Medical Group after completing a fellowship in nephrology. Brifkani will be joining other specialists in the hospital’s Professional Office Building at 145 W. Fourth St., Suite 201.
Brifkani completed medical school at Ross University School of Medicine in Portsmouth, Dominica, in 2008. He performed a residency in internal medicine at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, and he recently completed a fellowship in nephrology at the University of Florida in Jacksonville as well as a renal transplant fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. He is board certified in internal medicine.
